New Beginnings

Since moving to the village of Kirby Cross just outside of Frinton-on-Sea last Summer, I’ve had hardly anytime for my website or blogging. It’s really been quite full on! Hopefully, now things have settled down I’ll be able to post regularly to keep you all updated with what’s going on in the Studio.

So, what have I done in the last year since moving you may wonder?

Well, the first thing I did was to have my new garden studio built! It was so exciting! The house was full of boxes, the dogs and cats were all trying to come to terms with the move, Neil my husband turned into DIY Dan and I - I got my first proper studio!

Neil and I found a great company call Booths who manufacture there own garden rooms. Booked it in (before moving) and so 6 days after moving they turned up to build the studio. It went up, panel by panel. Its insulated and has aircon (I feel so posh) and within 7 hrs, it was up and running! The week after the landscapers arrived to landscape the garden, that took three weeks and left me itching to get into my studio.

A month after moving in, we had a new garden and the studio! Immediately I set about setting everything up. I tried various places to have my easel before finally settling for the middle of the room. Ikea kallax units and work surfaces were installed by Neil and I could finally empty the packing boxes and get all my art supplies out.

Let the art commence!

The Studio is going up!
